russian language vs english language

You know what, when i first saw this poster, straight away, i read it "pit". Later i realised that Matthew Perry was spelt in English, not in Russian :D

b : soft sign (not pronounced, but it means the last syllable of the word is pronounced softly.

Russian language has great influences on me since i first learned it...i'm always confused with some small words or particles, like in/on the street, in/on a bus, etc....
