Story one:
I was very glad to meet the dentist who treated me 1.5 years ago in the polyclinic. For the n-th time, I thanked her again, and told her everything was great with me, life was so much better without toothache, haha.
She seemed very surprised. I bet she couldn't remember me, i was one out of a million of her patients; but she still showed some concerns, asked about my teeth, and so on.
I could see on her face, a satisfactory smile that I will never forget.
It may be just a small deed, or it was just her job to treat patients with toothache; but her good deed, did leave a foot print in my heart.
In fact, my mum told me her experiences as a nurse too. She works in maternity ward. Sometimes when she walks on the street, someone will just greet her and told her about his/her kids. My mum couldn't even remember whether she was the one who in charge of the kid; but, the parents, will hardly ever forget that, my mum gave them a big help, and they really appreciated it.
History review:
Before i came to Moscow in autumn 2006, i did a filling on my tooth in district dental clinic in my hometown. Few weeks later, just one day before i left for Moscow, i had a severe toothache. I couldn't chew, nor slept well. I just had the feeling and felt like using morphine or what to anaesthetise myself. !@#$!@##$@!, I reached Moscow on Saturday, so the dental clinic was closed, till the following Monday.
After two days of suffer (I took paracetamol for pain-relief coz i couldn't sleep properly for two nights, nor ate; i just drank porridge soup); I went to see her,the dentist on Monday. She found out that i had a defect filling on my tooth: in other words, the filling wasn't done properly, esp. it wasn't cleaned properly, so the remained bacteriae multiplied and lived anaerobically (without oxygen), and produced more and more acid).
The dentist took out 3 nerves from my tooth, and did a filling again. I still felt pain for a few days, but everything was ok after that; i couldn't feel any pain now since i had those dental nerves removed.
1.5 years later, today, I went to do my dental check up, everything was fine.
Thanks a lot!!!!
Story Two:
Finally, I decided to consult a neurologist. (yes, it's a polyclinic, all the departments are there,so i might as well just did dental check up too, as in "Story One".)
I had nerve pain for the first time in summer 2006; recovered somehow, recurred in winter 2007, recovered; and same thing happened again few months later, and relieved.....Totally sick of that, especially i couldn't really figure out what the heck was going on:
Possible causes:
1. Bad sleep: bad sleeping posture, bad pillow, bad mattress...which all lead to an improper sleeping posture/position, especially for a long time, it'll compress the nerve (including nerve compression near spinal cord as all the nerves are actually originated from spinal cord).
2. Wind + cold weather: somehow the wind will penetrate through the skin, and cause problems. And Cold weather, wind will lead to muscle or nerve becoming 'stiff'.
3. Trauma/ sports
Treatment:
1. Stop sleeping.........................in a bad posture.
2. I took NSAID, non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug; the one i took was Diclofenac Natrium.
3. Undergo physiotheraphy.
4. Wear warm and tight clothes.
Other advice:
1. do some exercises esp. when we maintain a same posture for a long long time (like stretching type, those that we usually do for warming up ourselves before sports.)
2. Yoga :D haha.
Anyway, i have got some video clips about protecting spinal cord from injury, exercises that relieve spinal cord pain, spine massage, etc....Will probably post them here later when i'm free.
